The Germantown Symphony Orchestra (GSO) is a volunteer community ensemble, located in Germantown, TN, with members ranging from casual players to professionals, and from teens to octogenarians.
Mission
"The organization exists (1) to promote the performance of a wide variety of orchestral and ensemble music; (2) to provide its members with education in theoretical and practical musical skills; and (3) to promote camaraderie through participation in musical productions and entertainment. The mission of the Germantown Symphony Orchestra is to encourage the development of young musicians and to enrich the lives of its musicians and our Mid-South community through the presentation of live music of enduring quality."

Whether they are performing outdoors in The Grove or indoors in the Highland Capital Performance Hall, it isn't just music that the GSO creates. It is magic. Rain or shine, the GSO has the ability to bring all members of our community together for joyous evenings filled with beautiful music and priceless memories. We are proud to partner with them every year for their Pops Concert and their Holiday Concert, and are especially ecstatic to celebrate alongside them for their Golden Anniversary.” |
