The Germantown Symphony Orchestra will present a concert devoted to American music, featuring music by some familiar composers, such as Samuel Barber and Aaron Copland, and some not so familiar who deserve greater recognition.  Our guest will be Randal Rushing, who will be performing selections from Old American Songs by Aaron Copland.  Randal Rushing has led a distinguished career spanning five decades as a lyric tenor.  He has performed with the Chicago Symphony, the St. Cecilia Orchestra of New York City, Dallas Opera, the San Antonio Symphony, and many other distinguished American organizations.  His international appearances include important performances in Prague, London, Seoul, Heidelberg, and other major music centers.  He has also appeared many times with Memphis Opera, The Memphis Symphony, Rhodes Mastersingers, and at the University of Memphis.  He joined the voice faculty at the University of Memphis in 1990, serving from 2008-2015 as director of the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music.
Concert Ticket Prices
