Education 

The Germantown Symphony is an all-volunteer community orchestra that performs throughout the Mid-South and provides educational experiences for area children. Music director Dr. Ron Vernon, along with volunteer musicians from the GSO, have given school performances and workshops throughout the area. The GSO also sponsors master classes and provides performance opportunities for area school groups. 

GSO Chamber Music

The Germantown Symphony offers several opportunities for members to participate in chamber music.

•  GSO Summer Chamber Music Recital. Our annual summer chamber music recital is a great opportunity for GSO members to make music together in a more intimate setting.  This recital is free and open to the public.
• Educational Outreach. Our members enjoy  performing for children in the community. We can tailor programs to the specific needs of your school.
• Community Events. You may see GSO players at many community events, including the Germantown Charity Horse Show Ball. Let us know if you'd like to see a GSO chamber group at your event!
