​Pops in the Park presents GSO’s “Let's Go to the Movies,” including music that won Oscar awards, or from movies that won Oscars.  During rehearsals GSO orchestra members can often be heard singing along with the music.  Perhaps you will want to sing along with the old pieces, too, and enjoy the melodies of the newer ones. Or, sit back to enjoy the Germantown and Houston High School Choruses as they are highlighted in a few of the pieces.

Musical selections will coordinate with the City’s participation in the NEA Big Read program of the novel Station Eleven.  

Bring lawn chairs for this free event.  ​
