Molly Wilkens-Reed, a home-schooled graduate, started Suzuki violin at age three and then began studying viola. In addition to viola, Molly has studied violin, piano and voice with Pak Chung Cheng, Jane Gerard Schranze, Anna Cheng, and Annie Byrd. She was a member of the Memphis Youth Symphony for ten years and also performed with The Memphis Repertory Orchestra.  Molly fulfilled her love of chamber music during high school as a member the Belle Fille string quartet and The Hot Chocolates octet.  This Fall Molly will be a freshman at the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music at the University of Memphis, pursuing a music education degree with emphasis on viola and violin. She is involved with Irish Dance at the Inis Acla School in Memphis and is a member of Trinity Lutheran’s adult choir, and she performed in musical theater at the Performing Arts Camp in Missoula, Montana for the past six years. Molly wishes to thank her patron for providing the viola on which she performs.

Michael Klyce, violinist, studied with Libby Armour for thirteen years.  After using his GSO performance scholarship for participating in the Sound Encounters program at Ottawa Suzuki Strings Institute in Ottawa, Kansas this summer, Michael will begin his senior year at White Station High School.  He was a member of the 2010 All State Orchestra, and served as concertmaster for the 2010 All West Senior Orchestra. Michael will continue his fourth year of membership in the Memphis Youth Symphony and his sixth year in the Toscanini Chamber Ensemble.  He is a member of St. Peter Church.  In his free time Michael enjoys exercising at the YMCA, photography, and video editing.


Lydia Wilkens-Reed of Memphis is a fifteen year old homeschooler who began studying Suzuki cello at the age of four and now studies with Phyllis Long.  She also studies string bass with Karla Phillip and piano with Anna Cheng.  Lydia has been a member of the Memphis Youth Symphony for seven years and also plays with The Memphis Repertory Orchestra.  She loves to play chamber music, performing with the Belle Fille string quartet and The Hot Chocolates octet.  Her talents extend to musical theater, attending the Performing Arts Camp in Missoula, Montana for the past five years, and to competitive Irish Dance at the Open Championship level.  Lydia recently traveled to Killarney, Ireland, and Glasgow, Scotland, for the All Ireland and World Championships. Lydia would like to thank her parents for everything they do to support and encourage her.
